The new head of the Council of Europe Office in Tirana, Mrs. Giulia Re hosted the director of the Academy of Political Studies, Erjon Tase, in an introductory meeting. Returned to Albania after a previous professional experience in international organizations, Ms. Re is familiar with developments in Albania and the country's development programs. This experience of cooperation with local and foreign actors is an additional potential for ensuring the strengthening of the role of the Council of Europe and the implementation of various assistance programs offered by this important organization.
 
During the meeting, future cooperation and the main initiatives aimed at raising the capacities of young professionals in Albania to contribute to democratic processes were discussed. The Academy will continue to be supported as one of the most successful programs of the Council of Europe in Albania and in 20 other countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
 
Since its establishment in 2007 with the support of the Council of Europe, the Academy of Political Studies continues to provide a center of formation and interaction for many young political leaders and citizens to implement the best models of governance and development.
