APS starts the second cycle of Leadership Academy
Academy of Political Studies, in cooperation with the Albanian School of Public Administration, began today in Durres the implementation of the second cycle of the "Leadership Academy" program, aiming to strengthening the capacities of 25 authorities of local administration from 16 LGUs.

New project for CSOs contribution on european integration
The Academy of Political Studies started the implementation of the project “Starting from the grass-roots: Civil society Role in the EU Integration Process in Albania”, in the framework of IPA II - European Union Integration Facility 2014, in cooperation with the Institute of International Sociology in Gorizia (Italy) and the Foundation in Support of Local Democracy (Poland).
Diploma ceremony of the School of Political Studies 2018
The Diploma Ceremony of the 12-th generation of the Albanian School of Political Studies was held today at Tirana International Hotel, attended by numerous personalities. 20 graduates successfully completed a one-year study cycle, which includes lectures, study visits, and research papers focusing on good governance and relevant reforms in the country.
Sounding board sessions for policies of municipality of Tirana
The Academy of Political Studies organized on November 22-23, the sounding board sessions of five policy research under the project "Policy Research Program for Young Academics" (PRYA). The researchers presented their studies in front of panels of experts who were invited to provide comments and recommendations on the drafts.
Finalized the second phase of supporting policy research at the local level
The Academy of Political Studies (ASP) in cooperation with the Open Society Foundation Albania (OSFA) finalized the second phase of support for research and advocacy work aiming to improve policies at local level. Leadership Academy Programme awards the first generation of local leaders
The Leadership Academy Programme certified today the first generation of 20 leaders at local level. This flagship programme of the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform of the Council of Europe was established in Albania in early 2018 in partnership with the Academy of Political Studies (APS), the Albanian School of Public Administration (ASPA) and generous support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)
The third course of the School focusing on European integration
European integration and the expected decision to open negotiations was the focus of the third national course of the School of Political Studies. The training took place at the hotel "Bologna" in Vlora on 8-10 June 2018, with the presence of selected local and foreign lecturers.
Parlamentarians study visit to Berlin on Energy and Climate
The Academy of Political Studies coordinated the visit of a parliamentary delegation to Berlin from 6-9 June 2018. Mr. Besnik Baraj, Mr. Edmond Panariti and Mr. Endri Hasa, as representatives of the Parliamentary Committee of Production Activities, had the opportunity to be introduced with the best parliamentary practices in the German Parliament to support the implementation and improvement of energy efficiency, climate protection and urban mobility.
School Directors start organizing the World Forum for Democracy 2018
The annual spring meeting of the Directors of 21 Schools of Political Studies of the Council of Europe took place on 24-25 May 2018 in Strasbourg. Topics discussed included how to better share good practices and expertise among the Schools, how to evaluate the curriculum and how to create synergies with other Council of Europe programmes.
