Parliamentary hearing on Energy and Urban Mobility
About 20 MPs and staff of the parliamentary committee attended two presentations on the state of implementation of legislation on energy efficiency and urban mobility. Experts invited, Mr. Hysni Laçi and Ms. Ray Koci, in collaboration with the Co-Plan Institute, introduced the MPs with the development of bylaws and relevant recommendations for further engagement of lawmakers in these two very important sectors.

The president of Association of the Schools of Political Studies visits Albania
The president of the Association of the Schools of Political Studies of the Council of Europe Mr. Nils Muižnieks paid a visit in Albania from 16-18 May 2019 by the invitation of the Academy of Political Studies. Mr. Muižnieks was one of the guest speakers on the third national course of the Albanian School of Political Studies programme, held in Durres.
The third course of the School focusing on European integration
European integration process and the expected decision on the opening of negotiations was the focus of the third course of the School of Political Studies. The training took place on 17-19 May 2019 in Durres, with the presence of the best national and international lecturers. Mr. Nils Muiznieks, President of the Association of Council of Europe's School of Political Studies, held a presentation on populism in Europe as a threat to democracy and human rights.
Urban Mobility bring together Albanian and Montenegrin MPs
The topic of Urban Mobility brought together today in Tirana members and related staff of the Albanian and Montenegrin Parliaments. The MPs were introduced to the Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning by the expert Mr. Aljaz Plevnik and got acquitance with best examples from the Slovenian experience with the objective of strengthening the capacities of parliamentarians to influencing the process of political decision-making in this sector.
Second national course on “Leadership and political representation”
The second national course on "Leadership and Political Representation" took place on 5-7 April 2019 in Vlora. The first module of the course was developed in the form of intensive training on character-focused leadership. The curriculum developed by the McCain Institute, at the University of Arizona in the US, was dealt with by the expert, Edlira Gjoni.
Leadership Academy Programme awards the second generation of local leaders
The Academy of Political Studies finalized the second cycle of the Leadership Academy (LAP), a program of the Center of Expertise of the Council of Europe, which is being developed in cooperation with the Albanian School of Public Administration (ASPA), with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) .
Signed the MoU for youth education for elections 2019
The Central Election Commission and the Academy of Political Studies signed today the Memorandum of Understanding for the Youth Education on Local Elections of June 30, 2019. This program will be implemented for the fifth time in Albania in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth.
The first national course on “Political campaigns and elections"
The first national course took place in Voskopoja, Korce from 15-17 March 2019. The guest lecturers shared with the participants the best of national and international practice. Mr. Jim Arkedis, who has over 15 years of experience in American political campaigns, addressed the topics of “Political communication and campaigning”. Two other topics as "Essential of Public Speaking" and "Public Debating Techniques" were introduced to the training, offering to the participants the opportunity to get acquainted with and practice the most contemporary techniques in this field.
