Civic actors submit recommendations to the CEC for limiting state resources in local elections
The Academy of Political Studies together with a group of civil society organizations initiated a meeting with the State Commissioner of Elections, Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi, with a focus on the election process for local government bodies on May 14, 2023. A joint document with recommendations on the improvement of the sub-legal framework and its implementation by the CEC on misuse of state resources, financing of political parties during the election campaign and equal access of male and female candidates to party finances, verification of mayoral candidates and the municipal council, was drafted on this occasion as an opportunity to improve the problems encountered in the past elections.
ASP support the career development of young people in Albania
The Academy of Political Studies started the implementation of a new project supporting the career development of young people and discouraging them from leaving Albania. Orienting the start of a professional career as well as thanks to mentoring by ASP alumni, professionals of various profiles in administration, business and civil society, the aim is to create the right environment for young people to build their careers in their homeland after completing their studies.
Kick-off event presents the energy consumption and awareness of local actors in Kurbin and Suhareka
The kick-off event of the project “Pathway towards an efficient use of local natural resources” took place on December 14, 2022 in Kurbin. The purpose of this activity was to present the project objectives and also the findings of the survey conducted over the last 3 months in the municipalities of Kurbin and Suhareka with the aim of assessing the situation of energy consumption as well as the awareness of the actors different on "green transformation".
APS participate with green MPs at the EnC Parliamentary Plenium
On 5-6 December 2022, APS coordinated the participation of the representatives of the Green Group of the Parliament of Albania at the workshop of the Parliamentary Plenum of the Energy Community in Vienna. The delegation was composed by MPs Arben Pellumbi (Chair), Helidon Bushati (Deputy Chair), Eduard Shalsi (Deputy Chair) and Lefter Geshtenja (member of GPG), Ms. Xhilda Pinci, adviser of the Parliamentary Committee and the director of the APS, Erjon Tase.

EU integration on the focus of second national course of the School
The potential and challenges of integration in a troubled Europe was at the main focus of the second national course of the Albania School of Political Studies, which took place on 23-25 September at hotel Portik, in Berat.
