11.06.2025 - The Green Group of the Assembly of Albania held a meeting today with a focus on the presentation of the annual report of the Transport Community Secretariat as well as the evaluation of the most active MPs for the 2024-2025 parliamentary session.
During his presentation, the director of the Transport Community Secretariat, Mr. Matej Zakonjsek, thanked the Assembly for turning this presentation into an annual tradition.
Part of the meeting was also the presentation of the monitoring of the Academy of Political Studies on the activity and initiatives undertaken by the members of the Green Group during the period September 2024-March 2025. The MP with the most initiatives and discussions in the legislation related to the sectors of the Green Agenda for this period was evaluated as Mr. Xhelal Mziu.
At the end of the meeting, the chairman of the Green Group, Mr. Arben Pëllumbi expressed his confidence that this group will continue its engagement in the new legislature with the renewal of its membership, continuing to promote the acceleration of the reforms necessary for the implementation of the Western Balkans Green Agenda.
The Director of ASP, Mr. Erjon Tase, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Pëllumbi for establishing and leading the group during the first three years of its existence, ensuring the necessary cooperation from members beyond the daily political agenda.
The Academy of Political Studies has provided its expertise and coordination of the regional activities of the Green Group with the support of the German Government and the European Commission, within the framework of the Open Regional Fund for South-Eastern Europe-Energy, Transport and Climate (ORF-ETC), which is jointly implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Network of Schools of Political Studies in the Western Balkans.
