06.05.2025 – Students of the “Sulejman Elezi” high school in Kamza took part in an open forum on the elections with experts from the Institute of Political Studies (ISP) and the Academy of Political Studies (ASP). Some of the questions discussed in these forums were:
- What is the role and interest of young people in political participation?
- How much is their voice heard and represented?
- How much do young people trust the representative system and the integrity of the vote?
The discussions of the graduates with experts Erjon Tase and Granit Sokolaj encouraged information and awareness to participate and exercise the right to vote in the May 11 elections.
The activity is part of a cycle of forums organized with young people and various civil society groups in different cities of the country with the aim of encouraging their greater commitment to electoral reform, but also to ensure the necessary transparency in the decision-making of political actors in relation to the Electoral Code.
Afterwards, the graduates took part in a simulation exercise of the voting process with the aim of practicing all the steps of the process and raising their awareness of the importance of voting and exercising this acquired right.
The discussion was organized as part of the project “Strong partnerships for sustainable reforms - Strengthening the role of civil society in addressing the challenges of free and fair elections”, supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Albania through the MATRA program.
