The first Political School course on election campaigns is held

The first national course of the Albanian School of Political Studies 2025 on the topic "Electoral Systems and Political Communication" was held on May 23-25 in Vlora. The first module of the course focused on political communication and electoral campaigns. Mr. Neritan Sejamini, an expert in governance and communication, brought a critical analysis of the communication strategies of political parties, as an important factor for electoral campaigns and election results.

The electoral systems implemented in Albania as well as recommendations for an expected electoral reform were presented by Mr. Oerd Bylykbashi, the vice president of the DP and an expert on important reforms. The discussion with Mr. Ervis Moçka, the head of the Vlora District Council, brought a practical approach to the organization of the SP electoral campaign and the interaction of political representatives with citizens.

Political communication and electoral campaign messages were addressed by Mr. Neritan Sejamini, an expert in governance and communication. The training presented a critical analysis of political parties’ communication strategies as an important factor for electoral campaigns and election results and focused on practical examples from the last electoral campaign in our country.

The second module of the course provided a presentation of the policies of the European Green Agenda and the objectives undertaken by our country as part of the European integration process. Mr. Rodon Miraj, Manager of GIZ Albania, presented the challenges and opportunities for sustainable development of energy and transport as part of these obligations for our country.

This information module for the School participants was made possible as part of the capacity development of the Green Parliamentary Groups from the Western Balkans, a regional project supported by the German Government and the European Commission, within the framework of the Open Regional Fund for South-Eastern Europe-Energy, Transport and Climate Protection (ORF-ETC), which is jointly implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Network of Schools of Political Studies in the Western Balkans.

Participants also visited the Independence Museum in Vlora to better understand the details of this important national moment.
