As part of the Network of the Schools of Political Studies, APS participated for the first time at the fourth Energy Community Parliamentary Plenum, hold on 12 December 2019, in Chisinau, Moldova. The invitation in this important plenum was related the Joint Report on Future of the Energy Efficiency in the Energy Community, previously drafted and consolidated among SEE EnC contracting parties. The network of the Schools was integrated as one of the main actors in the sector as result of its long contribution in the respective countries for the dialogue facilitation on the energy efficiency legislation thanks to the support of GIZ ORF-EE.
The Parliamentary Plenum brings together two representatives from each national parliament of the Contracting Parties and representatives of the European Parliament. The objective of the Parliamentary Plenum is to make the Energy Community better equipped to implement the acquis by bringing together elected members of parliaments. The Parliamentary Plenum meets up to two times per year.
The Albanian delegation at this event was composed by MPs Mr. Niko Peleshi, Mr. Besnik Baraj and Ms. Xhilda Pinci, staff of the Parliamentary Committee on Production Activities, Trade and Environment.
