The topic of Urban Mobility brought together today in Tirana members and related staff of the Albanian and Montenegrin Parliaments. The MPs were introduced to the Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning by the expert Mr. Aljaz Plevnik and got acquitance with best examples from the Slovenian experience with the objective of strengthening the capacities of parliamentarians to influencing the process of political decision-making in this sector.
The opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Niko Peleshi, Chairman of the Production, Trade and Environment Commission, Albania; Mr. Aleksandar Damjanovic, Chairman of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget, Montenegro and Ms. Jasna Sekulovic, Regional Project Manager GIZ ORF EE.
This workshop was held thanks to the cooperation of the Albanian Academy of Political Studies and Montenegrin School of Political Studies, within the framework of the program "Regional Cooperation and Development of South East Europe Parliamentary Competencies for Energy Efficiency, Climate Change and Urban Mobility", funded by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
