Over 20 mayors and other top local government leaders participated on the second "Leadership Academy Programme" training course on 16-18 May 2018 in Golem. The courses combined theoretical approaches with practical policies and solutions to daily life problems of LGUs. The group working and role play exercise created the right interest during the three days of the training. This program of the Center of Expertise of the Council of Europe is implemented by the Academy of Political Studies (ASP) in cooperation with the Albanian School of Administration Public Administration (ASPA) thanks to the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The main focus of this training was "Organizational Leadership", addressing topics such as:

• The complexity of changes in an organization;
• The culture of the organization;
• Organizations that enable continuous learning;
• Leadership styles and values;
• Self Awareness and Group Empowerment;
• Leadership Mind-sets for Team Working;
• Strategic management;

Simultaneously with training of local leaders, the program aims also the certification of seven Albanian experts near ASP and ASPA, who can deliver this program on forthcoming training senior for top level of public administration. The third and final course of the same group of local authorities will be held in September 2018.
