On the occasion of her visit to Tirana, Mrs. Claudia Luciani, Director of Democratic Governance at the Council of Europe, held a meeting with alumni and participants of the School of Political Studies. The debate focused on the theme "Protecting democracy under new security threats", as one of the most important debates of the moment for the future of Europe.

Mrs. Luciani also presented the latest report of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, addressing assessments and problems observed in regards of democracy and respect for human rights in Albania.

Mrs. Luciani, praised the high level of discussion and encouraged participants to continue their commitment on the main reforms in the country. The meetings with alumni are an additional possibility for the prominent guests to receive professional and balanced opinions on the development of the country.
