APS trains the NGOs on political dialogue

The Academy of Political Studies organised a two days training for 15 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working on environmental and climate protection The training was focus on the development of professional skills in terms of engaging in political dialogue and with regard to their ability to network.  The activity was part of the Public Dialogue for the Sustainable Use of Energy in South-Est Europe, financed by GIZ dhe DBU. Except the training topics, the participants had the possibility to get to know for the first time the two new draft laws on "Energy efficiency" and "Energy performance of buildings".  Mr. Gjergj Simaku, the director of Ministry of Energy, which drafted the laws, was also invited on the first part of the training, offering more information on the process.   The NGOs, herewith not only felt that they upgraded their knowledge, but also they directly participated as part of the consultation process. On the following weeks, APS will organise the process of collecting their suggestions and comments regarding the draft law and will submit them to the Ministry of Energy with the aim to be reflected on the final legislative versions.   The same group of NGOs were invited to participate on the upcoming Parliamentary Hearing at the moment when the drafts will be submitted on the parliamentary committees. The participants appreciated the training modules, which were introduced through professional and valuable information on energy topics.
