On 12 February 2015 was held in Korca the regional conference on "Cross border Public Dialogue on Energy – A joint Regional Platform for Action", organised in the framework of the cross border project "Initiative to enhance public dialogue on the sustainable use of energy”. The event brought together over 60 stakeholders in the region of Korca and Pogradec and Bitola and Kicevo, to prepare the grounds to further the Local and Regional Platforms for Actions, a prerequisite to a long term dialogue among all local stakeholders on Energy Efficiency implementation at local level and to persevere the local ownership of the project, raise awareness, share experiences. A Memorandum of Understanding between the four municipalities involved in the project and the two organizations implementing the program was signed in the framework of the conference. Through this document, the leaders of these important local institutions expressed their commitment to the realization of these platforms for action. The ceremony was attended by several local media to ensure proper visibility and awareness among the general public. The conference also presented findings and draft material which will serve for the finalization of the regional platforms for action on the sustainable use of energy.
