Following the initiative of some alumni, the Academy of Political Studies extended the invitation to the wider alumni network and partners in view of supporting the people in the flooded areas in South Albania. The contribution of the first day amounted on 54.000 ALL and was transformed in more than 100 bales of grass as food for livestock in these flooded areas. The aids were distributed yesterday (8 February) in Fier in cooperation with the Emergency Committee of the region. The mayor thanked the alumni network and expressed the request for extension of support since the flooded areas will suffer long consequences. Collection of contributions from alumni network and other partner organizations will continue in the following days. The alumni members of the network will coordinate and facilitate the delivery of the aids. The documentation and other proofs of the contribution will be managed under our APS’s responsibility and in close cooperation with the Civil Emergency Staff.
