The roundtable on the “The strategy of reduction and prevention of corruption in the Albanian Customs Administration”, was organised on 28 October 2014, at the EU Info Centre premises in Tirana. The event was part of the public initiatives organised by the participants of the “Albanian School of Political Studies”. Prominent guest speaker as Mr. Gentian Elezi, Deputy Minister of Integration and Ms Edlira Nasi, representing the National Anticorruption Coordinator, congratulated the ASPS for the organisation of this important initiative.The deputy general director of Customs, Mr. Dritan Cekani, at the same time participants of the school, presented a policy paper on the anticorruption during this event.
Part of the open debate were also representants of EU Delegation in Tirana, OSCE and assistance mission as PAMECA and “Crown Agents” service. Media expressed interest and provided visibility to the activity.
The public initiatives serve as a further contribution of young leaders, participants of the ASPS programme, into the European integration process. Meanwhile, the ASPS participants will transmit these values and commitments in the integration process to other strata of Albanian society.
