The Albania School of Political Studies in partnership with the Centre for Political Sciences organized at Hotel Tirana International on November 3rd a meeting with the Political Attaché of the American Embassy in Tirana, Mr. Paul Poletes on the presidential elections in the USA.

During the meeting Mr. Poletes talked about the way elections are organized in the USA , the pre-election events, the specific characteristics of the candidates and the parties they represent, etc. Additionally, Mr. Poletes talked specifically about the discipline, the strategy and the strong points of the elections at this period.  The emphasis was given to the engagement of the voters, their preferences, their political and economic interests, and how these issues are reflected in the political agenda of the candidates.  The role of the media in general was considered as very important.

The participants in the meeting were students and alumni of the Albania School of Political Studies, members of the Board and students of journalism and history of the University of Tirana.
