On September 24 the Albanian School of Political Studies held a seminar with the presentations of the thesis of the second group of students.  The seminar was moderated by Mr. Frank Dalton of the OSCE Office in Tirana.   Amongst the topics of the thesis presented during the seminar were: the role of the political elites in the overthrow of the dictatorship and the establishment of democracy in Albania; an analysis of the relations between democracy and the economic development in Albania; the reality of Albania and the conditions it must fulfill to become an EU member.  The moderation process was mainly concentrated on such issues as: keeping the students in focus during the discussion of the topics mentioned above; keeping the students in track on the most important topics for each analysis and preserving the scientific side of a thesis.  In the process of discussions, the students improved their knowledge on the value and the role of the elites; the division of the elites, and the importance of the elites in certain historic environments and events; the value and the role of the political parties and of the political and party leaders; the efficient methods in presenting a thesis, as compared to journalistic and other styles.
