APS starts the second cycle of Leadership Academy

Academy of Political Studies, in cooperation with the Albanian School of Public Administration, began today in Durres the implementation of the second cycle of the "Leadership Academy" program, aiming to strengthening the capacities of 25 authorities of local administration from 16 LGUs. The synergy of capacities and experience of both institutions ensured the successful implementation of this program of the Center of Expertise of Council of Europe, implemented thanks to the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The opening ceremony was attended by Ms. Jutta Gützkow, Head of the Department of Good Governance, Council of Europe; Ms.Debora Kern, Head of Government and Health, Embassy of Switzerland and Ms. Kleopatra Maliqi, director of ASPA. The training program will be organized in two three-days courses where leadership themes will be addressed through a curriculum adapted to the Albanian context and under the guidance of seven Albanian experts certified by the Council of Europe during the first LAP cycle piloted in 2018 .

Participants of this cycle were selected based on analysis of training needs organized by ASPA towards public and local public administration employees. The participants in the training evaluated as very positive the course progress, the level of the curriculum and the experience of the involved trainers.
